The year 2026 marks our centenary year as a Diocese.
It will be an opportunity to give thanks for all that God has done through his people in the Diocese of Blackburn since William Temple founded it in 1926, and a chance to renew our commitment to mission and ministry in the service of Jesus Christ across Lancashire.

Step into The Creation Experience.
We warmly invite you to visit The Creation Experience, which will be open to the public on Saturday 12th September, from 2.00pm to 6.00pm, and again on Sunday 13th September, following our morning service.
Take a journey through the opening chapters of Genesis as our church is transformed into a series of interactive scenes celebrating God's wonderful creation. Begin "in the beginning" as light breaks into the darkness, then discover the separation of the skies and the seas. As you continue through the days of creation, explore the land and plants, watch the sun, moon and stars appear, and admire the colourful birds and fish specially created for our church by the children of New Longton All Saints Primary School (NLAS).
Finally, marvel at a wonderful collection of land animals of every shape and size, lovingly created by the children and adults of our parish. Along the way, there will be plenty to see, discover and enjoy for visitors of all ages.
Your journey concludes on the seventh day in our peaceful Garden of Eden, where you are invited to pause, rest and reflect on the beauty of God's creation.
Whether you're coming on your own, with friends or as a family, we would love to welcome you. Admission is free, and everyone is invited to come and experience this unique celebration of creation.
