What We Believe

All Saints’ Church New Longton believes in the faith which is revealed in the Holy Scriptures and set forth in the catholic creeds, as expressed in the historic formularies of the Church of England – namely, the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Ordinal.

Ours is a Eucharistic church, in which we seek to meet with Jesus Christ in each of our regular services through both word (the Scriptures read and preached) and sacrament  (sometimes called the Eucharist, Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper, or Mass).

Our services are therefore fairly traditional in style, but with plenty of modern and family-friendly aspects.

We receive episcopal oversight from the Bishop of Blackburn, the Rt Reverend Philip North.
